Ok, here is a fun shot. After the show is done... the glamour is gone with a hangover of hard work and good fun. The evidence colors the wire like a smile on the face of a stall wall. Add Comment Cheers... and Happy Independence day! The satisfying, successful, Tryon show last weekend was rapidly followed by two clincs, also super successful. At Summer Highland Fling Dressage in Tryon, Dana, Linda, and Susan showed their horses alongside me to win the pro-am challenge. Linda also won 3 of 4 classes and won the Master's Challenge award. Sanibelle and I brought home the NC bred high score award. Sanibelle scored over 72% in every class and missed winning by about 1%. All together we earned first or second place in 13 of 17 classes. And Susan and Dana won 3 of 4 of their second level AA classes. Following the show, Welle and Sanibelle participated in a clinic with Jennifer Baumert. And Sanibelle also did one day of the Scott Hassler clinic hosted at Fellowship farm. Each of those sessions were fun, inspiring and the girls did great. Super feedback has led me to feel saddened about the forced time off I am preparing to take as I go to surgery this Friday to bone graft and pin my non-union broken clavical. I will pick up where I left off later. How much later, I don't know yet. So, get out there and have fun for me. And when that blazing sun zaps your appreciation and enthusiasm, think of me... reading about doing, while YOU are out there doing it. I have some nice pictures of Tryon coming... |
