My mother, Carolyn Rush, produces unique oil paintings. There are no prints made from any of her originals. The unusually high quality oil on canvas works are displayed in some NC galleries. The most popular subject matter is landscape. They often evoke deeply emotional responses. She also does other subjects including a very special piece with Pearl and her daughter, Windspray Oceana (Winnie), the first foal born on Karver's Creek Farm (seen below). However, her oil paintings are very dimensional and layered. They can only express themselves to their full potential in their original three dimensional, textured form.
